Abstract

TIMSS stands for Trends in worldwide Mathematics and Science Study. This aktivitas aims to measure up the mathematic and also scient capability of student in some countries. Indonesia is one of the TIMSS participating countries. This paper aims to determine the mathematic ability of students in Indonesia and several factors that deserve to improve students" mathematics abilities. The method digunakan is a descriptive untuk mempelajari of TIMSS results from 1999 come 2015. The outcomes of this belajar indicate the the capacity of Indonesian student is still in ~ a low tingkat (Indonesian students are just able come solve basic math problems) and there room several determinants that need to be taken into consideration by the government, schools, and parents in bespeak to enhance the mathematical abilities of Indonesian students.
